100th issue!
Since the first issue of
the JEC Composites
Magazine, twelve varied years have
passed. And just as the JEC trade fair
has become the global platform for our
industry, the JEC Composites Magazine
has become an outstanding medium
for composites - with a circulation of
36,000 readers. For us, the magazine
is an ever-bubbling source, in order to
learn about the latest news and technological developments in the market. And
of course, it is one of the main channels
for SAERTEX to bring awareness to our
exciting innovations. The reason for the
success of the magazine is a competent,
committed and especially independent
team which we congratulate on the
100th issue. SAERTEX also would like
to say thank you for the close cooperation from the beginning. We wish you

Already 100 issues! How
time flies! I remember
well when the magazine was first created - just one page at the beginning, and
then it grew along with the expansion
of the JEC conferences and shows.
Hexcel, a founder member and part of
the JEC board, has played an important
role in the organization of JEC and I'm
very proud to have seen the great development of the JEC organization, in
particular with its magazine, which is a
leading publication within the composite industry.
I congratulate JEC magazine on its
100th issue and thank JEC for providing this great source of information
during the last 12 years. I'm sure the
magazine has played a major role in
educating more and more people about
composites and their increasing number of applications, and in attracting

The launch of the first JEC Composites Magazine, in April 2003, was
unforgettable for all the people involved in the composites sector. At
that time, it was still difficult to imagine how this launch would be important, at the
global level, to our development and continuous creation of learning and opportunities related to composite materials. The magazine became a reference for innovation, technology and knowledge.
During 12 years, all sectors - from automotive to aerospace - received accurate, rich in content, highly technical
and pragmatic information. Specialists
from the world over described their
experience, their improvements,
their expectations and their dreams.
Thousands of reports and success
cases contributed to the evolution of
our sector and to the creation of new
opportunities thanks to impartial
and extremely technical articles, with
the sole target of providing quality,
innovative, unique and real information.However, the magazine is not
limited to technical articles and also
provides information related to markets, cultures and management. JEC
Composites Magazine proves that the
world has become smaller. When I travAnniversary, JEC Composites Magazine issue n°100
el and visit foreign companies, I always
see JEC Composites Magazine on the table of the main executives and technicians.
Also, I often see it in international presentations or being referred to in a specific
debate or as an example of innovation and technology.
It was very rewarding and honourable to take part in this magazine during 12
years. Considering that the composite market still suffers from an extreme lack of
information, especially in the academic field, it is vital for our expansion and development to have JEC Composites Magazine to rely on. I wish that, together with
the next generations, we can keep developing this magazine that, in only 12 years
of existence, has already left a legacy of knowledge, innovation and technology to
the composites sector.
