Tell us about your
company, Insigniam?
We have offices in Philadelphia, Los Angeles,
Hong Kong, London and Paris. Our clients
are executives in large, complex organizations with strategic imperatives that are
critical to their company's success, who are
dissatisfi ed with the status quo, see new
possibilities and seek our par tnership to
accelerate their intentions.
A recent survey of executives of large global
companies showed that one of their main
concerns was to stay competitive in the face
of disruptive innovations that were changing
the game in their industry. As Alfred Sloan
would say, change is just a condition of business. We partner with companies who are
dedicated to embrace change, and re-invent
the rules of the game in their market.

What do you see as the
challenges facing companies
today and tomorrow?
Because of the changes and constant uncertainties around them, companies have to
build an inspiring, robust and agile corporate
culture to ensure that high-performance is
the new normal. This means instituting a
culture of accountability and responsibility, in which people own their actions and
inactions and where actually producing
results is valued more than having the perfect explanation for why the results were
not produced. Peter Drucker said "culture
eats strategy for breakfast". Our consulting
involves creating and making sure everybody
is aligned with a purpose-driven culture,

which drives accountability, creates opportunities for innovation and value creation.
In the case of large transformation, one
of the concerns we hear most often from
CEOs is how to enable people to work in
complex environments while focusing on
value creating actions and output. One of
the pitfalls we see too often in transformations is taking resources away from the marketplace to focus on internal organizational
issue. This is one of the major challenges
faced by companies because this internal
focus leads to overwork, inefficiencies and
resignation.
Finally, Statistics show that somewhere
between 60% and 70% of all change initiatives fail, with the most often cited reason
for failure being "resistance to change" and
a lack of senior leadership consensus and
sponsorship. No organizational transformation can be successful by being mandated
from the top, and executives around the
world are starting to realize the importance
of this statement. People support what they
