Portrait Frock Couture An innovative concept for a collection which hit the US market in August 2008 gaining immediate acclaim. With Frock Couture, creator Rhonda Gilberg finally realized her lifelong wish to create her own brand and aims to make it an international success. well-established and successful attorney who practiced as a lawyer for 15 years, in 2008 Rhonda found herself at a turning point with the realization of a dream she had been contemplating for over five years and which now goes by the name of Frock Couture. Despite a great interest in all aspects of fashion, from design and fabrics to actual clothes shopping, Rhonda had always pursued her studies in law with great commitment, never allowing herself the opportunity to delve into her creative side. However five years ago she had an idea, whose originality and appeal were too strong to overlook: the 21st century version of the traditional housecoat! Contemplating how her grandmother always , a stylish woman, would change into her housecoat at every opportunity, Rhonda started asking friends and acquaintances of all ages what they wore to feel good and comfortable when at home. The answers varied yet there didn’t seem to be RHONDA GILBERG one single item which satisfied all. Rhonda herself had to admit that she never knew what to wear when she came out of the shower, dried off, put on her make up and blow dried her hair And so it was that she was inspired to cre. ate- world a previously undefined concept which is neither lingerie nor loungewear but… loungerie! T be worn at home, at the spa, o on vacation, on a business trip, Frock Couture marries old-world comfort and modesty with modern sass. Designed in thirteen styles with a variety of prints and colors, the collection is glamorous, trendy, comfortable and fun, providing complete coverage while still making women feel beautiful and sexy. Made of cotton poplins and knits, many are embellished with embroidery and lace and have a practical middle zipper and deep front pockets. Further, for a true touch of class, every Frock Couture piece comes with an original matching headband and its own plush tufted hanger made to match the solid color or print. With the success of the Frock Couture launch at the US tradeshows Rhonda plans to expand the collection by adding more prints, styles and accessories. It looks like she will be facing a busy period the moment has finally come for Rhonda to express all her creativity and for women to look and feel good in Frock Couture! A 94
