En fin d'année dernière, deux parachutistes du Monaco Parachute Team
avaient marqué le coup d'envoi du MICS (International clubbing show)
en effectuant une première : un saut de démonstration sur l'esplanade du
Grimaldi Forum, à Monaco. Cette année, ils ont remis ça, en sautant de
nuit pour atterrir sur le Rocher, sur la place du Palais Princier de Monaco !
Contrairement à un démenti publié
sur Internet et les réseaux sociaux,
il s'agissait bien d'une première :
la photo d'époque qui a ressurgi des
années 80 et qui montre des parachutistes français s'étant posé sur
une plage, à proximité de Monaco,
après un saut de démonstration,
n'entre pas en ligne de compte.
Il s'agissait de l'équipe de voile
contact Jules, qui sautait en juin
1985 pour la marque de parfum
Christian Dior. Une belle démonstration avec atterrissage sur la plage
privée du Monte Carlo Beach Club
qui se trouve (contrairement à ce
qu'indique le nom) sur le territoire
français et plus précisément sur la
commune de Roquebrune Cap
Martin. Cette plage se trouve à 200
mètres de la frontière monégasque.
Le Monte Carlo Beach Club fait partie
de la SBM (Société des Bains de
Mer) qui est une société monégasque, mais qui possède plusieurs
établissements en dehors de la
Principauté, comme le Monte Carlo
Country Club (Tennis) ou le Monte
Carlo Golf Club, pour ne citer qu'eux.
Alors, oui les Jules ont décollé de
l'héliport de Monaco mais ils ont bel
et bien atterri en France,
et non à Monaco.
Les sauts réalisés en 2012 par le
Monaco Parachute Team étaient
donc bien les premiers sur Monaco.
Cette année, l'équipe a récidivé
avec une autre première,
encore plus exceptionnelle :
sauter de nuit et atterrir sur le Rocher,
sur la place du Palais Princier
de Monaco !
