01dB-Metravib manufactures instruments for dynamic, thermo-mechanical and
rheological testing of materials. It gives key data for R&D, QC, and prediction
of products performances: Glass transition, damping, stiffness, modulus, gel
time, polymerization cycle, fatigue … We introduce at JEC2011 a brand new
method to handle the polymerization process of thermoset resins: simultaneous
DMA/ Calorimetry Analyzer for liquid to solid characterization.

Advanced Composites Group (ACG) Ltd, part of Umeco Composites Structural
Materials (UCSM) – a division of Umeco plc, formulates and manufactures a
range of advanced fibre reinforced composite prepreg systems using a
combination of high performance resins and fibres. Woven and stitched fabrics
and unidirectional tape formats are pre-impregnated with epoxy, phenolic,
cyanate ester or bismaleimide resins to produce technologically advanced
prepregs that meet the demanding requirements of the aerospace, space,
automotive, defence, motorsport, marine, rail transport and alternative energy
markets. ACG’s materials cater for all structural and tooling applications and
processing techniques, with autoclave, press moulding and oven/vacuum bag
curing being readily accommodated. For low cost structures, ACG offers prepregs
that cure at temperatures as low as 40°C, but it also caters for high
performance applications with prepregs capable of withstanding in-service
temperatures as high as 350°C.
