A work of passion, the store originally named Whispers, was created by Judy Wyatt in 2001, after 23 years in the corporate world, from the desire to offer beautiful lingerie in a boutique setting to the residents of Oakwood and the surrounding areas in Dayton, Ohio. After over five years, following renovation in October 2006, Whispers has become Whispers Home and grown to include linens for the bed, bath and table in a beautiful space which is a home-like setting in its blend of fixtures and furnishings. A 2200 ft2 area, with six store windows, two comfortable fitting rooms and plenty of seating for customers to relax; beige wooden flooring throughout, light cream walls against which are set spacious armoires with a good selection of loungewear and robes hanging. One of each bra and brief is exhibited on canvas hangers with all other sizes in baskets and drawers. Numerous white functional and elegant busts displaying the intimates are placed on shelves and chests of drawers making the space more dynamic. Judy believes sleepwear should have a dual purpose, doubling as loungewear which you can put on as soon as you get home from work but still answer the door in or even wear in front of guests, and on seeing the items sold at Whispers one would definitely be tempted to wear them for a night out!
