The spa is to be located on the island of Naka Yai - 10-minutes by boat from Ao Po Pier on the north side of Phuket. Named Six Senses Erawan - A Destination Spa at Phuket, the development will offer worldclass experiences that combine holistic and contemporary treatments. Multi-day programmes aim to transform guest’s lifestyles through complete immersion into healthy and mindful living. Six Senses Erawan will feature four unique spa concepts under one roof, focusing on Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, and Thai inspired treatments. The spa layout, which covers 3,000 square meters, or 33,000 square feet, was guided by feng shui and the four life elements of fire, water, air, and earth. These concepts will influ16 ence a vast range of authentic experiences whilst reflecting ancient tradition. Chinese treatments include Jin Shin Jyutsu, Chi Neit Tsang, and traditional medicine. The Indian Pavilion is to offer colon therapy, energy healing, and other Ayurvedic treatments, and will incorporate herbal steam rooms. A Thai Massage School provides guests the opportunity to learn the traditional art of this world-renowned therapy. The Indonesian section will feature outdoor water therapy treatments amidst waterfalls, outdoor showers and bathtubs. It also features a watsu pool in an outdoor jungle setting – for individuals and couples. Six Senses Erawan will be a fitness haven featuring world-class services and facilities in a half moon shaped facility, with individual glass exercise rooms overlooking the pool area and the ocean. The Fitness Programme will offer a diverse choice of kinesis training, postural enhancement, oxygen fitness therapy, physiotherapy, and a nature-jogging trail. Supporting the spa, Six Senses Erawan will offer a total of 62 Pool Villas and Pool Villa Suites, each of more than 450 square meters, or 4845 square feet, located on a white-sand beachfront on the island’s gently slopSeptember 2007 ing hillside. The Retreat on the Hill spans a site area of over 2,000 square meters, or around 22,500 square feet. This special villa is located on the tip of the peninsula, with a 270-degree ocean view. Every villa will have ocean views towards Phang Nga Bay with its’ limestone crags rising from the sea. Each villa will have a private sauna and large bathroom areas, as well as an outside garden area with jungle toilet and rain showers. A cluster of six villas will be ideal for special retreats or groups seeking their own private compound. This cluster will have shared common areas to create the feeling of a private community. Six Senses Erawan will also offer a conference room that serves as a dedicated facility to educate guests toward proactive lifestyle modification for life quality improvement. The educational programme is to include distinguished speakers on holistic health and wellness. Guests will enjoy the freshest and healthiest meals at Six Senses Erawan.
