What would you say to an
alumnus who hesitates to apply
for the Executive MBA?
"Our participants are all successful
in their job, they are ambitious and they
wish to invest in their career"
and Intrapreneurship. This does not mean
at all that we wish all our participants
to create a start-up after their Executive
MBA. However, we are convinced that
all types of companies benefit from their
managers being more entrepreneurial.
We will also add an entire series of new
courses in the digital sphere to our portfolio of electives. The Class starting in
January 2018 will be offered electives on
"Digital Transformation of the Company",
"Emerging Business Models for the Digital
Age", "Digital Marketing and Community
Management", "Digital Marketing and
Social Media" or "Protecting the Value of
Digital Information". Hence, we support
our participants in acquiring new competences for the digital age. The year 2018
will see another innovation: in May 2018,
we will introduce a completely new track,
the so-called "Blended GMP". In this
track, participants can opt for having most
of their core courses as online courses.
However, as we know how much our executives value also the direct contact to their
professors and their peers, we offer them
courses on our campuses as well, so that
they can feel the spirit of ESCP Europe.
T he GM P (Genera l Ma nagement
Programme) is offered in two alternative formats:
- a part-time format, fully compatible
with an executive schedule, requiring a
reasonable number of days away from
the office, over 9 to 12 months.
- a blended format, combining distance learning (for seven courses) with
in-class sessions (for two courses), over
20 months.
The Blended GMP starts in May 2018 at
the Berlin campus with the first in-class
session and finishes in October 2019
at the Paris campus with the second
in-class session. In between, the other
seven courses are offered in an online
format. This track allows participants to
study remotely according to their own
schedule. Materials and tutorial support
are provided through a virtual learning
environment. Application deadline for
the Blended GMP is April 15th 2018.
Valérie Madon: An Executive MBA is
primarily targeting managers who studied non-management and non-business
subjects for their fi rst or second degree. In
other words: Most of our participants have
an engineering, a natural science, a language, a social sciences or law background.
While we have a few ESCP alumni, for
instance from our Specialised Masters
Programmes, who enroll in our Executive
MBA programme at a later stage, most of
our participants did their fi rst degree with
other schools or universities around the
world. What we see a lot is that successful
Alumni from our programmes, such as the
MIM programme, recommend to their colleagues, their team members or friends to
opt for the Executive MBA at ESCP Europe.
And the satisfaction rate in the Executive
MBA programme shows that ESCP Europe
Alumni should continue to recommend the
programme!
