Located in the Toronto city center, Secrets from your sister is an intriguing 1400 ft2 store that immediately catches the eye thanks to its turquoise storefront with wide sliding doors opening onto an interior of soothing music and a colorful menagerie of nightdresses. Inside, the atmosphere is elegant, fun and inviting with spacious aisles. The white on white wall stencils and interesting wall fittings create a light and airy yet eclectic décor while unique crystal pendants throw contemporary reflections onto the baby blue ceiling. The six fitting rooms are well thought out with back lit mirrors creating a luxurious environment, well lit to be very flattering but not deceiving. Visitors shopping here receive a personal robe as well as tissue and powder and have the option of buying cloth recyclable bags to help encourage environmentally friendly shopping which entitles shoppers to a discount when they return. Owner Jennifer Klein who opened the store in 1999 has put her creativity to use and had custom designed wall units built for the store in brass with movable antique door knobs to hang the bras from. The store carries corsetry, nightwear and loungewear as well as a good selection of maternity items.
