Forum Because commerce and manufacturing are booming, more and more companies are becoming exposed to liabilites as a result of unintentional negligence of defects or deficiencies in products. obliged to comply with corporate governance rules and codes of conduct as stipulated by India’s regulatory authority, the Securities & Exchange Board of India. This development, in turn, is generating an urgent need to provide firms with policies safeguarding against liability exposures arising from acts of commission, omission or errors of judgment on the part of their senior executives. Because commerce and manufacturing are booming, more and more companies are becoming exposed to liabilities as a result of unintentional negligence of defects or deficiencies in products. These can cripple business operations and pose serious questions of survival. Recent claims and awards handed down by Indian courts have increased demand for insurance coverage in this area as well. The days in my life are not taken up solely with being an insurance professional but also with being a caring spouse and father of two children. A healthy work-life balance is immensely important to me. Part of this, too, are my hobbies that include trekking and enjoying nature.
