Upon closing of the transaction, the combined company would be named DowDuPont and have a combined market capitalization of approximately $130 billion at
announcement. The transaction is expected
to deliver approximately $3 billion in cost
synergies, with 100 percent of the run-rate
cost synergies achieved within the first 24
months following the closing of the transaction. Additional upside of approximately $1
billion is expected from growth synergies.

The application centre will be located in
Heanor, UK, adjacent to its existing manufacturing and R&D sites. This opening is
a key milestone for Cytec in its strategy to
develop composite products and technologies to serve the high volume production
markets such as automotive. This investment
of $13 million also demonstrates the company commitment to the industrial markets
and their long term vision for the adoption
of composites by the serial automotive
industry. Cytec has developed new materials
such as rapid cure thermoset prepregs and
HP-RTM resin systems and is now working
with partners and customers to develop
application technologies to enable the
refinement of these new materials and their
use for part manufacture, demonstrating to
their customers how their materials can be
used in a high-volume production setting.

DuPont and Dow Chemical
agreed to merge in an all-stock
deal valued at $130 billion
The companies will combine in an allstock merger of equals. The parties intend to
subsequently pursue a separation of DowDuPont into three independent, publicly
traded companies through tax-free spin-offs.
The companies will include a global pureplay agriculture company; a global pure-play
Material Science company; and a technology and innovation-driven Specialty Products
company. Each of the businesses will have
clear focus, an appropriate capital structure,
a distinct and compelling investment thesis,
scale advantages, and focused investments
in innovation to better deliver superior solutions and choices for customers.

TPI Composites awarded US$3M
grant to develop a hybrid composite
door
The company has been awarded a $3M
program by the U.S. Department of
Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency
& Renewable Energy (EERE) under
the 2015 Vehicle Technologies Program
to design, develop, and demonstrate an
ultra-light hybrid composite door. TPI has
a long history of designing, producing, and
testing lightweight vehicle structures. TPI
will lead a team of industry and academic
participants with knowledge in vehicle
design and composite materials, including
Creative Foam Corporation, Hexion Inc.,
