Since Japan is the producer of the majority of carbon fiber
raw material currently available on the market, Lamborghini's
Research & Development has collaborated with Japanese
Industries in composite development from 2008. Among last
years, several missions by Japanese organizations and companies
have visited both, the Advanced Composite Research Center
(ACRC) in Italy and the Advanced Composite Structures
Laboratory (ACSL) in the United States, recognizing
Lamborghini competence in carbon fiber.

Automobili Lamborghini and Mitsubishi Rayon have agreed a
cooperation under the project title 'CFRP Press Technologies
and Processes Automation', and will work together to further
develop higher levels of manufacturing automation that are
more suitable for larger scale production, with great advantages
in process stability. The event ended with a Memorandum of
Understanding which was signed between Stefano Domenicali,
Automobili Lamborghini Chief Executive Officer and
Dr. Hitoshi Ochi, the President of Mitsubishi Rayon.

Composite Recycling
Technology Center earns
$1.73 million grant
The Composite Recycling
Technology Center (CRTC) has
earned a $1.73 million state grant
to fund advanced manufacturing
equipment at its new Port Angeles facility.
The grant by the Washington
State Department of Commerce,
from its Clean Energy Fund 2
program, will allow purchase
and installation of equipment to
recycle carbon fiber scrap from
the aerospace industry into value-added products. Production

GE to acquire LM Wind Power
LM Group Holding announces that Doughty Hanson, the European
private equity firm, has agreed to sell its stakes in LM Wind Power
Holding to GE for an enterprise value of EUR 1.5 billion.
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2017,
subject to regulatory approvals. LM Wind Power Holding is the
parent company of LM Group Holding A/S. The closing of the
transaction will constitute a change of control under LM Group
Holding's EUR 130 million fixed rate notes due 2019 and NOK
475 million floating rate notes due 2020.
Originally founded in 1940
as a furniture manufacturer,
LM Wind Power has evolved
to become one of the leading
manufacturers of rotor blades
for the wind industry. It has a
global manufacturing footprint
of 13 sites in eight countries
across four continents and
continues to expand.
In June of this year, LM Wind Power unveiled the world's longest
ever blade at 88.4 meters long, demonstrating the company's
continued strength in technology and manufacturing.

This grant was made possible by
matching funds provided by the
Port of Port Angeles through
a series of Economic Development Services Agreements with
the CRTC.

Automobili Lamborghini celebrates
"Excellence in Carbon Fiber" in Tokyo
The company celebrates the opening of "Excellence in Carbon
Fiber", an event dedicated to its carbon fiber technologies, at
Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery in Tokyo, Japan.
Over the past 30 years, Lamborghini has been one of the
industry leaders in both the development and implementation
of advanced lightweight materials. From the Countach to the
Huracán, not a single series-produced Lamborghini came to life
with less carbon fiber than its predecessor.
