«The composite industry
in Thailand continues to grow»
With a well-developed infrastructure, a free-enterprise
economy, and generally pro-investment policies, Thailand
historically has had a strong economy. To learn more about
the composite industry, we spoke with the BOI - Board of
Investment - a government's agency in charge of attracting
investment to Thailand. Thailand is the country guest of

BOI is the government's agency in
charge of attracting investment to
Thailand and promoting outward investment. The tools used to promote
investment in Thailand include tax and
non-tax incentives. The current investment promotion policy is to promote
the knowledge base industry and advanced technologies such as research
and development, green technology,
the automation industry, the aerospace
industry, etc.
Besides granting incentives to investors, BOI also provides business and
investment information and services
to facilitate investments in Thailand.
For instance, it offers a service to get
visas and work permits for the promoted companies, granting the right
to own land for their projects and

One of the BOI's renowned services is
its sourcing service, which is provided
by the BOI Unit for Industrial Linkage
Development - BUILD - that was established under the Thailand Board
of Investment more than 20 years ago.
Its main purpose is to enhance local
