Thanks to its continuous technology
innovation, high-quality products
and good after-sale service, Zhongfu
Lianzhong rapidly won high-quality
customers such as Sinovel, Goldwind
and Shanghai Electric Wind, XEMC
and DEC. The advantages of scale
became apparent with the successive start-ups of production bases in
Shenyang, Jiuquan and Baotou, and
in 2009, the annual capacity reached
3,000 rotor blade sets.

JEC Composites Magazine: You are already
present in China and Germany. Do you plan
to open new sites? What is the role of each
office? How do you work together?

R&D centre, focusing on innovation. The
other sites are production bases. We have
a core centralization system (5C: central
innovation, central purchase, central HR,
central finance and central marketing)
which is used to operate all the offices and
subsidiaries.
JCM: The group covers several activities.
Do you plan to expand the scope of your
activity, especially in the wind sector?

J.Q. : Wind activity is one of our long-

term businesses, so we will continue to
invest in this field. Meanwhile, we are
investigating and investing in new business in the composite industry.

James QIAO: It is our strategy to meet

JCM: What is the distribution of your main
markets? What is the situation in China?

JCM: Competition is strong. What are your
main challenges and priorities?

J.Q. : The main challenge is to find how to

be successful given the strong competition,
and whether we could achieve a sustainable
development in the composite industry.
Our priorities are to strengthen our innovation capability and to reduce costs.

JCM: How do you imagine the future of your
business and markets?

J.Q. : I think the future of the business

and market is promising, and composites
will provide more solutions for industrial
applications.

blade (45.3m) for a 2MW turbine was
put into production for the first time.
To top off this already event-rich year,
the company produced about 1,000
sets of megawatt blades and became
the largest megawatt blade manufacturer in the domestic market.

Along with this new activity, the
company continued its development
in pipes, tanks, cylinders and the
like, which still account for 20% of its
business volume.
