USERS’ PLATFORM Composites in the world PP/PP composite kayak Milliken and Legacy Paddlesports have introduced a new line of kayaks made with a 100% PP thermoplastic composite. The fibres and matrix are both made of polypropylene but with two different fuse temperatures. The paddler who buys an ultimate series kayak wants strength and light weight. The two companies worked to fulfil these demands as well as ultraviolet durability, abrasion resistance and production moulding process requirements. Moreover, such items are fully recyclable. Its range is about 72 km, which significantly exceeds the daily commute of 47 km for the average U.S. consumer. Battery charge time is three hours to full re-charge. Borrowing from racing technology, Enertia utilizes a carbon fibre chassis producing an ultra strong, lightweight vehicle platform of 125 kg. The chassis integrates six lithiumphosphate batteries that together produce the power to propel Enertia to a top speed of over 50 km/h.
