Event Two days of conferences topped off by a surprising Gala dinner party . Invista succeeded at gathering the world’s greatest hosiery professionals in V erona. n October 7 th and 8 th, over 300 hosiery professionals from 24 different countries gathered in one of Italy’s’ most beautiful cities for an exclusive event: Lycra Fiber Moves, the launching of the L ycra Fusion technology and the International Forum organized by Invi sta for the 50 th anniversary of their world famous Lycra fiber. For two days, the program was packed with all sorts of different and interesting interventions: market analysis, con sumption trends and consumer surveys, macroeconomic perspectives and presentation of success stories Essential information to evaluate and understand the current economic situation to learn and exchange while getting in contact with new business relations. At the end of the conference, Invista presented Lycra Fusion, its latest major innovation, a bi- Lycra Fiber Moves ® O component fiber that makes ladderproof hosiery possible! In a true theatrical setting, the gala included a “live” flashback that recaptured the last 50 years of the pantyhose’s history after the invention of the L ycra. That same evening, Nerino Grassi, president of the famous Italian brand Golden Lady , received a lifetime achie vement award from the head of Invista’s clothing d ivision, Dave T rerotola, to honor his 40 years of service in the hosiery industry. The evening became less formal when the dinner party took center stage with live opera, ballet, modern dance and rock performances. A true success for this new initiative, once again Lycra proved it knew how to trigger the attention of an entire profession. 1.
