VICHY 2017

LE CHAMPIONNAT DE FRANCE PREND L'EAU
La soixantième édition des championnats de France de parachutisme s'est déroulée à Vichy,
sous l'égide de la FFP, du 10 au 13 août dernier. Elle restera marquée dans les annales pour sa
participation anormalement faible, ayant empêché l'attribution des titres de champions de France
dans les disciplines artistiques et l'annulation pure et dure de la compétition en vol relatif.
Comment en sommes-nous arrivés là ?

Comme nous l'avons déjà écrit ici pour
les sept éditions précédentes, le vaste
aérodrome de Vichy est très pratique
pour organiser une grande compétition
multi-disciplines. Le staff de la fédération, composé de bénévoles, d'élus et de
techniciens, est opérationnel sur ce site
depuis plusieurs années.
C'est sans doute un des revers de la
médaille : trop confiants sur ces deux
qualités essentielles réunies, site
et staff, les responsables n'ont pas
vu venir l'iceberg...

en vol relatif. Il semble que ni le lieu
(Vichy), ni la qualité de l'organisation
(FFP) ne soient véritablement en cause
dans cette pénurie de participants.
Qu'elle soit humaine ou matérielle,
la «mécanique» des championnats de
France a, une fois de plus cette année,
fonctionné avec efficacité.
C'est l'essence même de la compétition
qui est mise en question.

Un an plus tard, la seule remise en
question visible a été d'accepter d'accueillir à nouveau, mais seulement pour
le vol relatif, les équipes de la catégorie
N2. Trop tard ! Seulement trois équipes
VR-4 N2 se sont inscrites pour les
championnats, mais deux d'entre elles
se sont désistées, sans doute découragées par le manque de participation.

étaient bien visibles. À tel point que l'on

consécutive à Vichy-Charmeil fut la faible
participation. Montre-t-il qu'il est temps
de bouger, à nouveau ? Cette édition
2016 marquera-t-elle la fin d'un cycle ?
Cette faible participation n'est pas une
surprise. Elle était déjà évoquée dans
notre édition ParaMag précédente à propos des coupes de France, notamment
