Type of Vélib’ users Figures resulting from the general cyclist opinion poll, calculated solely for Vélib’ users. 64% are men, 31% are aged between 19 and 30 compared to 26% in the total population and 23% of private bicycle users, 73% are of working age and 19% are schoolchildren/students compared to 14% in the total cycling population, 48% do not own a car, 80% have a category-B driving licence, 6% wear a helmet. Details of Vélib’ journeys 64% of journeys made on a weekday are for professional reasons, 68% use bicycles very frequently.
