Ongoing and balanced growth

Activity remained strong in both civil and military sectors, with balanced growth between divisions. In a stable environment with an upward trend, they have successfully continued their efforts to improve their operational performance and prepare for future projects.

High-level activity

Carried by the delivery rates of manufacturers, commercial aviation activities remained at a high level. Military activities posted solid performance, especially for parachutes and emergency braking and arresting systems. Within this stable and well-oriented context, teams are mobilized on operational excellence based on Lean Management tools: launch of Hoshin Kanri, specifying the Group's objectives with roadmaps by activity Outcome: on-time deliveries have been substantially improved. A reflection is committed to streamlining the supplier chain and studying potential partners. Industrial transfer of production units at competitive costs continued: interconnect harnesses and some flexible tanks are well manufactured at Soliman and Chihuahua (production site for evacuation slides, as well), and parachutes in Durban.

Some commercial success

Zodiac Aerosafety won two major helicopter programs: one for flexible tanks and emergency floats for the X4 of Eurocopter the other for emergency floats for the KUH of the Korea KAI. New contracts also in interconnect harnesses with Gulfstream (for AAP wings), Goodrich (for Boeing B787 engine nacelles) and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (for Bombardier G7000/8000 landing gear). Zodiac Aerosafety will also supply to several countries its EPC6 parachutes and to Space X its braking and recuperation parachute of the Dragon Crew spacecraft.
