HYLIPS, HYBRID ELECTRIC AND ELECTROMECHANICAL DE-ICING SYSTEM

Within the framework of European R&D for more electric aircraft, Zodiac Aerospace is developing an electrical and electomechanical wing de-icing system that will replace the current engine bleed air and reduce fuel consumption. Tests are conducted on the ground, in icing wind tunnels, on an aircraft wing tip.
