SHARING TO INCREASE INNOVATIVE PROJECTS

Promoting Synergies between units, the Strategic Projects team of the Business Development department aims to share innovation and the success of Group projects. Nine projects are underway, of which some are already completed.

“Nine projects uniting the expertise of several Segments and entities have been undertaken. Zodiac Aircraft Systems and Zodiac Cabin & Structures have developed an innovative cabin lighting that has been adopted by manufacturers and several airlines for the linefit⁷ and retrofit. This allows the Group to offer a comprehensive range for cockpit, external and cabin lighting. Zodiac Aerosafety and Zodiac Aircraft Systems are developing an electric and electromechanical de-icing system to reduce fuel consumption. Here are a few other examples: a new seat actuator or an airbag integrated into the cabin, uniting Zodiac Seats, Zodiac Galleys & Equipment and Zodiac Aircraft Systems”

Expanding territories

“Uniting teams on common projects give us the critical mass to work on a national and European level. After bringing together a team of eight of its entities to develop with the CEA-EA⁸ a fuel cell for aeronautics applications, the Group coordinated the Hycarus project launched in 2013: it brings together seven other partners and receives support from the European Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Technology Initiative”
