AT THE HEART OF CHANGE TOWARDS A MORE ELECTRIC AIRCRAFT

The Zodiac Aerospace Group is the world leader in primary on-board power distribution systems and supplier of the majority of new civil aeronautics programs. It is at the heart of change, moving towards a more electric aircraft. It copilots the CORAC GENOME program with Airbus and supports a partnership with the CEA for fuel cells and batteries. The acquisition of IPS, a specialist in generators and converters, rounds out its electrical system offering in 2013.

RAVE™ TAKES OFF AT LUFTHANSA

The first Lufthansa Airbus A330 retrofitted with the IFE3 RAVE™ system went into commercial service on June 13, 2013. In 13 days, the Zodiac Aerospace team installed more than 300 screens and related material and cables. This was implemented under the contract with the company for 69 Boeing B747s and Airbus A330s and A340s. The installations will continue until 2015.

82 EMASMAX® ARRESTING SYSTEMS IN THE WORLD

Zodiac Aerospace installed 11 EM AS MAX® arresting systems in 2012/2013 in nine airports in the US, bringing the number of systems installed around the world to 82. EMASMAX® is a bed of prefab cellular cement blocks that is placed at the end of a runway and is designed to arrest an aircraft leaving the runway in a controlled manner The Group is developing a new generation of cement that is faster to manufacture, cheaper to maintain and provides increased arresting ability.
