Value Creating Boards, Challenges for the Future.
Carl Åberg is a Ph.D student at the Management and Governance institute at the University of Witten/Herdecke. His
research interest fall largely within the fields of Value Creating Boards. Currently he is involved in research encompassing
the service tasks of boards, the impact digitalization has on boards as well as board decision involvement and its impact
on innovation. Carl has over 8 years of work experience as a strategy and leadership consultant mainly in Sweden but
also abroad. He holds a M.Sc. in Finance and International Business from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark.

The Influence of Social Capital
on Foreign Market Entry Modes among Family SM.
Ankit is a 3rd year PhD student in International Business at the University of Auckland Business School. He was previously
involved in teaching undergraduate degree courses at the University of Auckland Business School. Furthermore, he has
also worked in a Germany-based multinational company as a Business Development Manager and acted as a Business
Development Consultant for a Switzerland-based small and medium-sized enterprise (SME). He is currently doing research
on New Zealand based family SMEs with a focus on their networks and foreign market entry modes.
