Connu dans l’industrie sous le nom de Docteur Format , il est très sollicité par les diffuseurs internationaux et les sociétés de production afin de les aider à diagnostiquer et résoudre leurs problèmes de formats, depuis le développement de leur pilote jusqu’à la post-production. Justin a une expertise dans de nombreux genres de programme TV, comme les jeux, les compétitions de talents, les débats, les divertissements, la télé-realité, docu divertissantl, et le style de vie. Justin est un conférencier international ; il est consultant exclusif en matière de jeux pour DICK de RIJK et il est Professeur conseiller d’éducation à l’École de Télévision et Cinématographie du RoyaumeUni. Il est membre du Bureau du Conseil consultatif de l’École Sud Africaine des Arts et Médias et du Festival des Médias de Banff. Il est également Directeur de la chaîne de télévision russe Guerre et Paix.

Chief Executive Officer BALANCING ACT KENYA Southwood is a telecoms, Internet and broadcasting consultant in Africa. His consultancy work has included an assessment of two different sectors in the TV market in Africa: the transition to digital broadcasting in over 20 African countries, and a feasibility study for a LEARNING CHANNEL in Kenya. Russel is currently conducting research looking at the impact of the transition to digital broadcasting in Africa. He is the author of two Balancing Briefing Papers: The digital transition - changing how broadcast functions and Pay TV – a growing competitive market.
