Disbook AfricA 2012 - Country report lYBiA TELEVISION MARKETPLACE Nearly all media in Libya are government controlled; state-owned firms are also the sole providers of telecommunications and Internet services. The major player in the audiovisual sector is the Libyan Jamahiriyah Broadcasting Corporation (LJBC) operating several TV channels across the country. The only private channel Al-Libiyah, which was launched in 2007, was nationalized through a government media reform from mid-2009. MARCHÉ DE LA TÉLÉVISION Presque tous les médias en Libye sont contrôlés par le gouvernement ; des sociétés d’état sont les seuls fournisseurs d’accès aux télécommunications et aux services Internet. Le principal acteur du secteur audiovisuel est tenu par le LJBC (Libyan Jamahiriyah Broadcasting Corporation) exploitant plusieurs chaînes de télévision dans tout le pays.
